Blind Faith - Deluxe vs MFSL

Could Steve or anyone else comment on the sound of these 2 in comparison with the stereo master? The UK Polydor and US Atco vinyl sounded completely different from each other(bright vs dull) and I was wondering which had been altered.
It's a great album for those who don't know it - the extra tracks on the deluxe 2 CD set are interesting but not essential. :confused:

The most Deluxe Editions are much better than all previous versions... particulary the Bob Marley remasters, and the Peter Frampton remix sound so good.

Unfortunately the Marvin Gaye remaster sound not as good as the marverlous remaster by Gavin Lurssen @Mastering Lab.

The Blind Faith remaster is very disapointing against the LP! It sounds not much better than the early Mofi remaster... anyway that's my opinion.

I also can't believe the upcoming Velvet Underground & Nico is an improvement over the Mofi remaster.

I'm a little surprised at you not liking the MFSL version of Blind Faith as I own it and it sounds great. Very warm and natural.

Are you listening to the Ultradisc or UltradiscII version? :)

My feelings have been like Dave ie Blind Faith. The remaster package is wonderful for the bonuses and the jams, but it didn't make me feel I was getting something "better" than the MFSLs. The real listen to me has been the Stan Ricker MFSL LP and the UD1 MFSL. Both really sound fantastic.

FWIW, I read a "Steve Quote" somewhere, that mentioned he thought the MFSL CD sounded pretty much like the Morgan Studios master sounded.

He liked the sound of the MFSL because it was faithful to the mix, warts and all.

I have the BLIND FAITH Ultradisc, pressed by Ultech in Japan.

I'm very interesting in audiophile things, and the Deluxe Edition definitely sounds better than the early Mofi! Not as warm as the Mofi, but more detailed and not so muffy.

The problem is... the Mofi and the Deluxe Editions are a long way behind the 1st english pressings on vinyl.

The guys at Universal doesn't have the time... but for an amazing remaster you need care and time! Suha Gur is not in the same class like Steve "mastermind" Hoffman!

A good example are the latest CCR remasters... remastered with 20 bit K2 technology somewhere in Japan. I do prefer these remasteres over the DCC's, but they don't have the analog feeling like DCC''s Gold CDs. How they could sound... with 24/96 and tube technolgy?

I would have picked up the Deluxe copy today but it's too expensive. I don't want a bunch of unreleased stuff. I hate when they jack up the prices that way.

My understanding is you can buy the remaster w/o the bonus. The cover art harkens back to the US original cover. Check the release date on back cover.
