Redbook playback using multichannel output on SACD players

Has anyone tried to play redbook cd's through the multichannel analogs ?...do you get a sub signal ?...I've tried that using my DVD-A player and all I get is left and right but no sub. I was wondering since my SACD player has bass mgmt this will not be the case...

I use the mc analog outs for my cds. Set it up that way for ease of use for the WAF. That way whatever gets put into the player produces sound from the same setting on the pre-amp.
As for the bass management, I don't get a signal to the sub when playing redbook, but that may be the way that I set the bass management. I left everthing set to full range speakers to eliminate extra processing.
