transfering vinyl to cd

hello, i am thinking of buying a new sound card, preferably one with an analog in, and one that will be good for this task in general. ive looked around on the internet quite a bit and havent really been able to find much. someone at work told me they make external ones. anyone have any opinions on this or advice or know of a good one? are there such things as external sound cards? are they any good? preferably one thats not tooooooo pricey. thanks, todd

Let's see, starting from the bottom is Turtle Beach Santa Cruz. Good card. Moving on up from there is Delta66, Mia, Darla, Gina, Audiophile, Card Deluxe...

Try a pro-audio or music outlet on the web. There are tons of cards to fit everyone's budget.

Just stay away from all Creative Soundblaster/Audigy cards! Period.
