Just purchased "Paul Simon" and "There Goes Rhymin' Simon" on DCC vinyl.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pressings and the glossy gatefold covers used on these releases.

I had purchased a couple of DCC LPs before but the surfaces were somewhat noisy with some noticable Pops and Clicks.

The remastering by Steve using VAC equipment is remarkable, Check out "Congratulations" from "Paul Simon" to hear what "The Breath of life" is all about.

Any chance that the entire Simon catalog will end up on DCC vinyl or SACD?

It would be nice, but the Simon LP's we did (the first two) were not very good sellers. Surprising to us.

We had cut "Still Crazy", but scrapped it because of lack of interest.

Great music, but not enough sales to pay Paul what he wanted... :(

I reply:

Yeah, I waited and waited and waited for "Still Crazy" and was disappointed that it never showed up! Were any test pressings made?

If "Still Crazy..." is never resolved, how about Art Garfunkel's "Breakaway" instead?

I realize that Art Garfunkel rarely does original work, but it would be nice if someone would re-issue his work from the original masters.

I would like to hear a Steve Hoffman re-mastered version of "My Little Town". I can't recall if MasterDisk did the original work on the Columbia original.

DCC's Rhymin' Simon is/was actually very well done, and thoughtfully packaged. The sound was also excellent. I usually spin S&G, but I was plesantly suprised on the DCC reissue as well. Very reccomended.

Sckott, I agree. Both Simon reissues by DCC are excellent. Please, count my vote!

Hey Steve,
Man I would have bought Still Crazy in a heartbeat. Was dissapointed that opne never saw the light of day. "My Little Town " and the Breath of Life...would be awsome!
By the way "Duncan" on the self titled LP was tremendous as was the rest of the album. Too bad they didn't sell enough to satisfy Mr. Simon.
