Steve, need a Tube recommendation

I finally got out from under that Fender Twin ( the channel switching model) that I bought and landed getting a 65 Super Reverb Reissue. Do you have a NOS Power Tube (6L6's) recommendation for it.

Only one tube for a Fender Super Reverb, and that's the Black Plate RCA 6L6GC.

Second choice, GE.

Anything else and you're going to find that your amp may be too bright.

Remember, any output tube switching will mean that the amp needs to be rebiased. Don't forget!

Thanks Steve, I found a dealer with a matched pair of NOS RCA's for $200 or GE's for $80. Do you know how to re-bias the amp? Or where I can get instructions?

You live in Atlanta? You need to go to an Amp Shop and give your amp a pro rebias when you put in the new tubes. I'm sure there are lots of guitar stores in your city.

If you are a DIY kind of guy, search the web, but I recommend a good amp technician.

But FIRST, try the Super with the stock tubes. You might like it!
