in the current issue of TAPE OP:
http://www.tapeop.com/

"Rupert Neve, designer of British consoles for the past gazillion years, talks about custom building consoles for engineers, testing gear with music as well as pink noise, and shares his opinion on the ever-growing analog/digital debate."

sadly, the interview is not posted on their website, however, subscriptions to TAPE OP are free!

i've been reading this mag (more of a fanzine, i guess) for a few years now and can highly reccommend it for all recording enthusiasts

it's very informative, very good. it covers the stones recording "brown suger", "wild horses" and "you gotta move" at muscle shoals studios.

if you've seen "gimme shelter" recently on DVD, there's a brief sequence showing them recording these tunes, also.
