The February 2006 ICE magazine had a mention of the ? and the Mysterians cd released last year by ABKCO not playing in all types of players for the last few songs. ABKCO has set up a return contact if yur disc doesn't play properly (apparently the length of the disc might have caused data loss resulting in some players not being able to handle playback). If you have a ?/Mysterians cd that doesn'y play right, send the disc only (not the jewel box and booklet) for replacement with a new disc that meets redbook standards to:
Amy Bancroft - Consumer Relations
ABKCO Records
1700 Broadway
New York, New York 10019
I mailed mine back this morning. I'll let you know when the replacement shows up, and if it plays back properly.

Mike, do you have a email address for Amy Bancroft?
Nope - trying to contact someone at ABKCO is not very easy from what I can tell.

I'm just glad that someone from ABKCO got in touch with the ICE folks and set up the return policy.

Has anyone actually received a replacement disc yet from ABKCO and Ms. Bancroft? I sent my CD in about 5-6 weeks ago and have received nothing yet. I sent a polite follow-up letter about 10 days ago - but still no response.

I've heard this before. How/why does this happen?

I got my replacment copy of the ? and the Mysterians disc today. It was pressed at a different plant (the old one was made in Canada). It plays fine on my computer, and a copy I made for my truck didn't stutter at all. Pete Howard at ICE magazine helped out by printing my note about the problem in ICE - thanks, Pete!
