When a friend can over recently be compared the original Reprise pressing of Benefit to the UK Pink Island and found that they are completely different. The Reprise version has echo added to the vocals and it's a very up front mix. The UK was much more laid back with the vocal almost pushed to the background. In fact we both perferred the american mix. The remastered CD is very close to the American. Does anyone know if the UK version was changed after the inital pressing run ala This Was?
