John Coltrane Vinyl Question

Going to ask basically the same question as I did about Hendrix. There is a LP and CD set of the John Coltrane Heavyweight Champion set. . I am specifically interested in any opinions on the sound quality of the cd version vs. the LP version. Any help or information is much appreciated.

Same again here. The Heavyweight Vinyl set is (I think) out of print and actually a very lavish set with all the LPs in their original configurations.

I say get the vinyl of this one too, as it IS mastered well and IF you can get your hands on one. You can get the CD sometime afterwards if this wets your appetite.

Thanks for the info Sckott. Actually Rhino has reissued a new set of the LP box sets from last year, that is 2000. It's part of there handmade series and they still have some left. Just for anyone else's FYI.
