View Full Version : Has anyone compared a Sony ES CDP (non SACD) with a Sony SACD CDP (non ES)?
And the results are..... anybody?
As a lot of people are impressed with redbook performance of the Sony 775, I was wondering if anyone has compared a Sony ES CD player (non SACD) with a 775 or other non ES SACD player?
Gary, just bring your 775 over with you next time you come over and we'll do the comparison here.:D After all, what's a couple of thousand miles for something as important as this.;)
Great idea, Dave! Will you spring for the gas?
Gary,
Heck no! I'm barely getting over the nightmares of the fact that you might be staying at my place for a few days.:winkgrin:

I have a ES Sony CD player, a Denon 3802 receiver with a well respected digital to analog converter section and a 500V. All sound great with Red Book disks but me thinks the 500V's converter section sounds best. Don't know why.
Richard.
