Thoughts on the Solid State Audio Research D Series Amp?

I was checking out some audio sights and saw the Audio Research D52B and D60 solid state amps. They are built to the same excellent standards as the rest of ARC products but I was wondering how do they sound. I have been a long time fan of ARC but have heard their tube equipment mainly. I think these products are about 10 - 15 years old and was wondering how they compare to other quality amps of their time and with today's amps.

Also, if anyone can refer me to a website that possibly discusses older/vintage amps, that would also be appreciated.
