Steve...Zombies question:

I FINALLY picked up the DCC Zombies Greatest Hits, and had a few questions:

a) How in the world did you manage to find the right tapes for most of these? Especially the correct Imagine the Swan mix...I'm amazed that you actually had the dilligence to track down the tape of the right version (given that, until Zombie Heaven, the common-on-CD one was the one without the other organ part and backing vocals)

b) In fact, how many tapes of Zombies mixes ARE there?

c) Which version of Don't Cry for Me is this? I don't have Zombie heaven disc 3 handy, so I can't tell if it's the completely undubbed version, but it sounds different from the two post-production RIP stereo mixes...

David - Lotsa fun being a Zombies collector eh? 3 stereo mixes of "Imagine the Swan" alone...lol! Also, Steve's version of "Don't Cry For Me" is the original mono 45 mix that was the B side to "If It Don't Work Out" in '69...not the "undubbed" box set version.

Ahh, OK....this is the only place the mono mix shows up, then, as the only other mixes I ever hear on CD are the two stereo mixes (the Zombie HEaven mix and the "better" mix).
