Near mint Dual 1257 for $150 - fair deal?

I have the opportunity to buy a vintage 1979 - 1980 Dual 1257 with Audio Technica cartridge in near mint condition (includung an unscratched cover) for $150. I always wanted a vintage TT in good condition (esp a Dual). Is this a fair price? Any input is appreciated.

BTW - One week refund policy included... 30 day warranty on TT.

I think it's a little pricy myself. $150.00 US is $240.00 CAD - ouch! Unless you are looking for 'dead mint' only, I'd keep looking if I were you.

I can easily pick up a vintage TT like this for under $100.00 locally.

And if I were in your shoes, I'd look for something that plays 16 / 33.3 / 45 and 78. They ARE out there - probably from the '50s or '60's.

Thanks for the input. Unfortunately the demon of impulse got the best of me and I ordered it! I am actually pretty happy - since most I've seen were in not-so-good shape (visually).

Grew up in Germany with rich kid neighbors using Duals - my folks never bought me one - so 30 years later I finally got one! Better late than never - eh? :D
