Anyone else here watch The Shield (on F/X). It's surely one of the very best shows on TV. This season, they brought in Glenn Close as the supervisor of the precinct. At first I was skeptical--seemed a bit like a casting stunt. But I think she's dynamite in the roll. What a great actress...
Every episode this season has been top notch...

I would have to agree with everything you said. I am looking forward to Vic finding out Dutchboy is dating his ex-wife! :D

:agree: :agree: :agree: ... this is my first season with the show ... haven't seen this week's episode ... the FX station on my cable had audio problems last night ... I am glad that they repeat each episode several times each week ...

I've seen all the seasons, and it seems like this one has started more slowly, due to the addition of Glenn Close and the changing roles for several characters. But it also looks like we're building to some big stuff.
I had a hard time getting into it this season, but I've enjoyed the last two episodes a lot, esp. the way they're turning Acevedo into the heavy. Does Vic know about Acevedo's getting raped?
And, oh, the choices Shane has made. How did he become Antwon's bitch so quickly?

I don't think Vic knows about Acevado. If he did, I'm sure he'd find a way to use it to his advantage. On Shane, I think that happened between last season and this one, when the strike team broke apart. Maybe we'll get more backstory on that as the tension mounts.

I liked it the first two seasons and then lost interest. Another reason I didn't like it is because of the previously discussed issue on here of two new episodes and then a re-run, a new one and then two re-runs. Have they stopped that nonsense? If so, maybe they'll run a marathon and I can get caught up again.

They've been running them straight through.

I doubt it. If Vic even suspected this, he would look into it. If he found out it was true, he would exploit it to his advantage. I have a feeling Aceveda is being set up for something....with his lingering trauma over the rape and his violent relationship with the prostitute, it just feels like he's headed for a fall. Good, he deserves it.
I'm glad Monica's getting rid of Julien...what a wimp!! Either be a cop or don't!
This season's a definite improvement over last. Glenn Close is a refreshing addition to the cast.
Man, I can't wait for Vic to find out Dutchboy is all over his wife!

I predict that Vic will somehow find that picture of Acevedos performing his forced sex act and use it to his advantage. I also wonder if Shane is going to have to be taken out. I'll keep watching, it's the best show on TV.

Who does know about Aceveda's manlove moment? I hope the pross finds out, and then gets caught in flagrante w/Vic. I will love watching him bring Acevedo down.
