I just received the latest Audio Advisor catalog and went straight to the analog section to get my fix :D
It appears AA is offering a really nice deal on VPI's new Scout with a Dynavector 10x4 for $1495. After reading what Harry said about his new baby, i.e. The Scout with the JMW-9 @ $1500 ...
"As far as the arm goes, as one reviewer said at the NY show after hearing the Scout/JMW-9 "Sonically a fifteen hundred dollar tonearm and you get the table for free". The JMW-9 is comparable sonically to a Graham or RPM."
from http://www.audioasylum.com/audio/vinyl/messages/135007.html
...and NOW adding the cart one would be hard-pressed to find a better deal on a TT this quality. According to AA the cart is recommended by VPI (I never listened to this MC - but read good reviews about it - goes for about $350 by itself).
Anyway - there you have it - a VPI Scout, JMW-9 arm and Dyna 10x4 for $1495
PS. This deal is not yet posted on the AA website (as of 0711.02)
