Sometimes, there are movies that movie me, amaze me, make me cry, laugh, and explode with joy.
It happens every now and then.
It just happened once again.
"Robots" may be the best movie I've seen since... perhaps since "Moulin Rouge" and "Fight Club".
Words elude me... what a fantastic, inspiring, great movie.

The reviews are mostly positive but not through the roof. I'm looking forward to seeing it, I liked Ice Age an awful lot. Waiting for my kids to get here for spring break before seeing Robots.

Rweally? I saw it on opening day and was NOT inspired by it. But it had some funny bits, but not too many.
I do like the evils of capitalism content but I didn't really care about many of the charatcers.
But I'd suggest people see it for the LOOK of the film. It's no Incredibles but I don't think anyone would hate it.

The reviews I've read have been lukewarm, but I am looking forward to taking the kids to see it. I liked Ice Age, though I didn't think it stood up to the Pixar movies.

Great Movie! I thought that "The Incredibles" was WAY overrated! Looked great...
Story...SO-SO.

Hopefully someone can report on on how it looks on a IMAX screen.

It had two stories from what I recall. The classic child leaves nest routine, and the war on capitalism. The movie was heart warming at times, but in order for it to really jerk my tears, the villain(s) needed to be much more villainous. Of course, Williams stole the show, but his character really scared me. It just looked freaky. Other than that, the effect were top notch and the music was cool too. Can anyone say dominos?!

Finally saw it tonight with the family. We thought it was awesome.
Very funny, better than I thought it would be.

Cool, animated movies have been some of the best values lately.

I loved the references to Star Wars and The Wizard Of Oz.
The scene where Robby becomes magnetized was hilarious.

I finally saw it over the weekend.
Thought it was good but not great. I'm glad I saw it, had a good enough time, but I won't buy the DVD.
The animation and design is stellar, but I just didn't connect to well with the characters. Love the message as well, but it was handled in a somewhat simplistic way.
Maybe I'm nit picking. I was tired that night and the screen was soft, even after I complained about it TWICE. Even though the animation was quite primitive in comparison, "Ice Age", to me, was a much better story with more compelling characters.

I aslo thought the screen I saw it at was too soft. Not crisp enough for a CGI film.
I'd love to see this again at the IMAX theater at some point.

That's the same reaction we had. I guess the trailers were a little lacking for this flick.
There were some cleaver parts to the script. Lots of visual puns too. I love that sort of stuff. It always seems to come in CGI movies.
I'd definitely rank this among the better CGI films. Above Bugs Life, below Toy Story and Incredibles. That's some good company. :)
I was really impressed with Robots - Blue Sky are poised to take the reigns from PIXAR in my opinion. The Incredibles was very good but it didn't have the PIXAR magic that is found in their best movies - the Toy Story films, Bug's Life, Monster's Inc. I just get the feeling that PIXAR have taken things as far as they can and it may be time for a new studio to hit a purple patch.
