I wasn't sure whether to post this here or in the music forum, but according to Olivia Harrison, a rerelease of Concert for Bangla Desh on both cd and DVD is in the works (along with the long awaited cd reissues of the Traveling Wilburys albums).
I took this information from the DylanPool, where a Olivia Harrison interview was posted (but no link to the original article):

That's great news ! I have been waiting for this one for awhile. There were some great performances from Dylan, Clapton, Leon & of course George & Billy Preston.

I love this quote from George..."The biggest break in my career was getting into the Beatles. The second biggest break was getting out of them." Man, do I miss him.

Thanks for posting the above article SolitaryMan!

Last week, Åhléns, that's kind of the same as Best Buy in the US, had a sale. One of the items on sale was "The Concert for Bangladesh". While the box of this "semi-official" release contained both accurate and inaccurate reports of the contents of the dvd, one had to view the dvd to see the bluff. The picture quality is awful. The sound is decent, however. Anyway, this "semi-official" release should be avoided at any cost. The manufacturer is called Falcon Neeue Medien.

I was in college when the LPs came out and, for some reason, I never purchased the CD versions. I will buy this DVD!

Howver, if I could have my druthers, I would wish for the Wilburys in multi-channel; you know the tapes are out there somewhere!

There was a similar news regarding the wilburys CD's a year ago. I am still not buying it 100% :shake:
