For those watcing...the series of numbers that seem to be playng a part in the plot were shown in closeup engraved on something at the end of the show. I missed just what thing the numbers were on. Anybody know?

The Locke and Boone characters discovered a metallic hatch in the jungle floor on an earlier episode, but have not told anyone else about it and to date have been unsuccessful trying to open it. The numbers were on the hatch.

It looked different from previous episodes because Locke and Boone have apparently excavated more area around it.

With this stinking "overun" into the next hour I was switching back and forth between Lost and the start of West Wing so only caught the closeup of the numbers.

BTW: Isn't the actress playing the French woman the one who played the alien trying to transform to human looking on Babylon Five?

That was a very humorous episode. Hurley is too funny.
This whole "numbers" thing is very intriguing!

You are correct. She is Mira Furlan.

Couple o' interesting details I picked up on another site...

Anyone notice the connection between Hurley and Locke last night? Hurley owns (or majority owns) a box company...presumably the box company that Locke works for...

If you add all the digits of the numbers plus Hurley's worth in america ($156 mil) 4+8+1+5+1+6+2+3+4+2+1+5+6=48 which is the same number of the original survivors on the island.

Did anyone notice in the previous episode when the Korean girl was watching TV......the news was on, and it showed HURLEY getting into a car!! this show is so clever!

Interesting about the box company......it seems everyone is connected somehow.
