I know us audiophiles are always complaining about the recent remastering done on reissues ect...
I too would rather have most of the mid to late 80's cds before the remasters have taken their place. But every so often you do come across a soundman that does it right these days in remastering.
Can you name a couple of your favorite recent remasters that have come out lately that you thoroughly enjoy??
I myself like the recent Cat Stevens Remasters and the recent Pink Floyd "Echoes", especially the Syd Barrett tracks.
I listen at home with a VAC tube amp and I'm not very fond of most recent remasters(especially alot of the HDCDs) but every now and then a re-release comes out that sounds naturally right.
