This is too pie-in-the-sky to post in the reissue wish list, but my dream is for Steve to remaster large quantities of the classic jazz titles on OJC (Riverside/Prestige/Contemporary), Atlantic, Capitol (Blue Note/Pacific Jazz) and Universal (Verve/Impulse/Arco/Chess/Blue Thumb/MCA). And heck, I'll even throw in Columbia. If there's a way to license a good amount of material from one or more of these labels, carefully DSD-transfer the tapes and reissue large amount of SACD's, this would be the ultimate thrill for me.

Sure would be a great way to put S&P on the map! :D

----------------------

I thought I'd qualify this by saying Blue Note is my favorite label, and hopefully S&P could work with Michael Cuscuna to license a few choice titles.

Verve stuff in particular, because I haven't been impressed with most Verve Master Edition CDs. I thought their remaster of Ben Webster and Associates was horrible, in particular - what a glaring, screechy piece of...

Ben Webster should caress your ear, not scream at you

It's hard to imagine just how good some of Red Garland's classic albums would sound with the Hoffman touch!!!
