Spanish director, Pedro Almodivar, has quit the Spanish Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, it was announced today. Both he and his producer brother have left the Academy as of Dec. 31st 2004.
The reason they mention is that they do not agree with how the Spanish Academy handles the voting.
Almodovar's films have not been treated to well by the Spanish Academy in recent editions of the Goya Awards.
