This caught my eye - neat link to a site devoted to hidden gags in Warner Brothers cartoons: http://gregbrian.tripod.com/hidden/hid01.html

Check out the Daffy the Commando picture - pretty naughty stuff! :righton:

Great site!

I hope they have explanations for the cartoon where all those vaudville stars were dressed as "bums"... whatever that episode was called.

Do you know if there is a "Flintstones" site like this?

Are you talking about What's Up, Doc? That's the one where Bugs Bunny is recalling his early career, and at one point there's a scene where Elmer Fudd (presented as a headlining vaudeville star) walks blithely past Al Jolson, Eddie Cantor, and Bing Crosby to find Bugs..."BUGS BUNNY?!!...What are you doing here with these bums?"

The idea of the gag is that Jolson, Cantor, and Crosby were all household names in the '30s and '40s, and veritable living legends by the early '50s (when the short was first released). They would hardly be "bums" to the audiences of that era!

That's the one, Mike! It was Cantor that I could not place...

Thanks! :)
