Where I live (Virginia Beach) if you do not go see a film in the first 2 weeks, and if it is NOT a hit, you have to wait for the DVD. I walked into Blockbuster and found copies of last years THUNDERBIRDS film. This was not even on the up coming releases sign at the counter. I was a big fan of the TV show when I was about 9 years old. I wanted to see the film even with the fact that is was aimed at kids. I sat down and cued it up. If you do not have any young kids, maybe even boys more than girls, then do not waste your time. You get the THUNDERBIRDS in the first 15 mins and the last 15, everything in between is Kids running all over Tracy Island and nothing more! I can see why this film tanked. What was the director thinking???? The whole point of the THUNDERBIRDS ia well...the THUNDERBIRDS! I have read a few interviews where the creator even disowned this pic. With any luck, maybe, just maybe we will get a new TV show out of it! Gerry Anderson no longer holds the rights but at least some studio does now after this thing just twisting in the wind for so many years. We get a whole new Dr Who this year, maybe we can get a THUNDERBIRDS too!!! :realmad:

I saw it at the movies with my kids. It was decent kid entertainment but your right, a fan like me wanted more cool Thunderbird action.

I may get the DVD used after awhile.

What? The "middle" of the movie is just kids running around? What kind of plot is that?

I wanted to see it too, being a Thunderbirds fan (and XL-5, and everything else GA)

I used to stay late to watch the Thunderbirds when I lived in L.A. Pretty good rollerskating, fights, etc. Is that still on ?

I did read awhile back that Gerry Anderson was working on a CGI version of Captain Scarlet, but haven't heard anything about it as of late. What I'd really like to see though is an updated Fireball XL-5, as it would really be cool to see Steve Zodiac and crew patrolling the universe in full living color!
