I posted this a while back, but I'm pretty sure nobody saw it, so...

I know this has probably been discussed before, but which CD is this "Temptation Eyes" disc that Steve mastered? I always see this slightly-ghetto-looking budget MCA compilation (blue cover, I believe), but I have no idea if it's the right one. Anybody have a scan of the cover? And is it really the best instance of the material? (i.e. is it a Who's Missing or a rushed-Meaty Beaty Big and Bouncy?)

Thanks,

I had the blue covered version - sold it two days later. Sonics all over the place - "Bella Linda" sounded really bizarre, mix-wise. Has it ever been determined that Steve actually mastered this? I was under the impression he just *compiled* it.

If the version I had was a "re-do"...I'd say skip it.

Yeah, that blue-covered thing looks so completely mercenary...but then again, I wouldn't doubt that there were two different Grass Roots CDs called "Temptation Eyes."

I have no idea myself. Sorry...
