How would you rate Nirvana orignal master recording gold cd?

Sounds ok, but I've never actually heard the master tape, so I don't know if the regular CD or the Gold CD is closer to the "sound" that the original producer and engineer was striving for...

I noticed that on the MFSL version of "Nevermind" the levels aren't as hot as they are on the stock CD, which tends to distort a lot when cranked up. I've always been curious about the anadisq vinyl version of this album and how it sounds. Unfortunately they're very hard to come by, and if you do find it people want ridiculous sums of money for it.(sigh)

I dislike Nirvana -- boy, that's an understatement -- but I understand Kurt wanted "Nevermind" to be really, really grungy. I recall reading that the album as released was too slick and "produced" for his tastes.
