Hello...
Does anyone know why an Lp will sound less noisy when switched to Mono......I've been noticing this and I don't know why it works this way..

Frequency cancellation. If you have a two track recording and, say, have a voice that is of equal amplitude in both channels, and the the channels are in perfect phase, and you invert one channel and blend the two, one will cancel the other out. The same thing happens with noise on an LP.
If you have an audio editor on your computer, try loading up a mono track from a CD. Invert one channel and blend them together. Poof! Where did the track go?
Huh.....interesting, thanks Grant.
