Any ideas as to the best sounding CD of this title? I don't know if it was ever re-mastered.

My GEFFEN issue sounds alright to me. It's a terrific CD; sounds a bit like Dire Straits, don't you think?

Part of the reason I like it is the unique close-miked vocal approach (although some think it's too much in-your-face) and the driving rhythm. As you mention the sound is good my copy is on WEA, pressed in Canada by Cinram in /93. It is just because of that I have every reason to believe that an up to date re-mastering could bring out more of what is on the original master tape. One can usually sense if a particular recording has more potential than is currently being exhibited. Being WEA there isn't too much hope of it getting the SACD treatment in the near future.

I have the Canadian WEA CD and vinyl LP. I'm afraid we'll likely have to make do with what we've got since I believe Chris has parted ways with EastWest/Warner in the UK. Perhaps Chris will obtain the rights to his catalogue and re-issue them on his own.
