Has anyone picked this up? If so, what are your thoughts? It includes concert and behind the scenes material from the Honkin' on Bobo tour.

Just got back from a showing at my local movie theater. They first showed "The Making of Honkin' On Bobo", then the "You Gotta Move" feature, which was concert footage with documentary pieces mixed in (much of it the same as what was in "The Making Of..." that they had just showed), then after the credits, 5 straight concert songs, which for me were the highlight.
"You Gotta Move" was cut VERY fast - I counted 30 camera cuts in less than 1 minute and it focused a lot on the audience- very similar to the McCartney "Back In The US" video. It got a bit annoying at times. Also, the theater decided that they would play this at concert volume, so the documentary was literally screaming at us. The music mix at the theater was very bright and ear-piercing - hopefully it wasn't the source, but the EQ at the theater.
The 5 songs after the credits were "Fever", "Rats In The Cellar", "Living On The Edge", "Same Old Song And Dance" and "Last Child". Looked like 'bonus footage' with a pause in betwen each one, but it rocked with no frills. Don't know if it's on the DVD, but I sure hope so...

When this aired on AE, it actually made me dizzy. Such a waste of great footage to be cut that way. I love this band, having cut my teeth musically on Aerosmith in the early 70's in Massachusetts, but I can't see buying this.
What I would give though for a proper edit that would allow one to really enjoy the show. There are some awesome tracks done live, but as you observed, 30 cuts in a minute is absurd.

Be sure to look carefully at the package, there is an "Explicit" and "Clean" version of the DVD.

I watched it and the editing is fast but watchable. It sounds really good too.

Aerosmith hasn't made a decent album since "Toys in The Attic" They went commercial and that ruined them...That's only my opinion.
