Such a good part for him. He plays a hot shot lawyer who has memory problems (and other things) but Shatner really gets into the part; it's a pleasure to watch him. Heck, I don't even know the name of the darn show; is it Boston Legal? (It's the show that took the place of "The Practice" Sunday nights at 10:00 on ABC.

I just love watching that guy work!

As much as I liked The Practice last season (with Spader and Shatner), I'm quickly tiring of Boston Legal. I gotta admit that Bill Shatner's about the only reason I'm still watching.

If you like Shatner, you must check out the indie pic "Free Enterprise," in which Shatner plays himself and strikes up a friendship with a pair of geeky fans. A really fun little film!

I'd watch Bill Shatner read the phone book, just about. Never dull!

I like reading his TekWar novels. I think I'm behind by a couple, actually. Very visual writing style!

I will say this much for Shat: he's always been fun to watch, no matter how bad his acting...:D

I believe he was in a film with Angie Dickinson back in the '70s....I want to say it was "Big Bad Mama," but it's been a long time....:p

...the earth stops spinning on Sunday night here! My Wife and I are Hooked on this show...We love James Spader as much! William Shatner is captivating in this role...not to mention Desperate Housewives an hour before...Great cable-less Sunday television...

Denny Crane not yet named "Boston Legal" was introduced in the latter part of The Practice's last season...James Spader's role went over so well, they made a spin-off with Shatner.

I heard a track from his new recording. According to Shatner, we're gonna die!

He name checks Einstein and Joey Ramone as people who died.

Hi,

I love the show! I think Shatner is doing a very good job but feel Spader is doing an even better acting job. Maybe the best thing about the show is the writing! Whoever crafted these characters is a genius.

Take care,
Jeffrey

I think Shatner and Spader are terrific, but I don't think the show has found its legs yet. This is normal for new shows, but I was hoping they would of shot out of the gate but as of yet they haven't broken into a gallop yet....ok, out of cliches.

I'm just happy to see James Spader doing television...bring's it to a new level...although, his sexcapades are getting old fast.:) I rather see him in court...Shatner's part is just perfect! Hopefully, we'll see a long run.

I want to say that you are correct, sir! A tawdry little early 70's B-movie... :edthumbs:

Shatner is an absolute classic in this role! I almost fell off the couch laughing at his "golden shower" line a couple of weeks ago. I do agree with the earlier post that the show has not yet found its legs. The writing is very inconsistent. I also wish that Rebecca DeMornay had signed on for BL. Her (and Sharon Stone's) Practice appearances last season were great... especially when in the throws with James Spader!

Shatner is the man. I giggle like a fool everytime he's on TV- there's just something about him that's consistently entertaining.

I only saw the first ep of this show (watched just for Shatner). Cute, but I'm not into these kinds of shows.

I second Free Enterprise.

Oh yes, a fantastic actor. I'm trying to collect all his movies.

I think he's fabulous in the role, and perfect for it, with his a bit over the top, Shakespearean-based acting. He's said in interviews he's not certain yet if Denny Crane is sane or not.

But, he'll always be Captain Kirk to me.

Willaim Shatner playing a narcissistic egomaniac...it's perfect for him. He's great in the part.
He's finally surpassed Kirk, and may become equally famous for creating this wonderful character.
