For whatever reason, I always find the effects of good remastering most noticeable on female vocals, as on the DCC remasterings of Linda Ronstadt . And I worry that a typical label overhaul of the following albums, with the inevitable treble boost, would render these CDs edgy, with silibants like scissors closing. So, in the hopes...

Suzanne Vega - SOLITUDE STANDING
Sinead O'Connor - THE LION AND THE COBRA
Tracy Chapman - TRACY CHAPMAN
10,000 Maniacs - IN MY TRIBE
Tori Amos - LITTLE EARTHQUAKES
Natalie Merchant - TIGERLILY
k.d. lang - INGENUE
Rickie Lee Jones - PIRATES
Lucinda Williams - CAR WHEELS ON A GRAVEL ROAD

obscure and out-of-print:
In Tua Nua - THE LONG ACRE
Linda Thompson - ONE CLEAR MOMENT
Marti Jones - UNSOPHISTICATED TIME and MATCH GAME

O, I would absolutely love to hear that Sinead CD remastered as well as the follow up to it, I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got. As for Tori and Natalie, I second those too, see my other post.
