When I picked this week's chart I did it soley based on the date but as I was
looking at it I realized there's two CRR songs here. Another good reason to
pick up Cosmo's Factory on SACD! I actually like most of this week's songs.
The first two I could live without but things get better after that.
Top 40, you gotta take the good with the bad.

Have a great weekend everyone and Don't Forget To Boogie!

Rare Earth! Now that's a hard band to find on CD! I only have Ma, Get Ready, Ecology and a GH package. I have most of their vinyl somewhere. Their last good album was Ma. After that they went into disco / dance type of stuff. I could not handle the change over in musical styles. But maybe it revitalized their career for a brief period - who knows?

And they were on a good record label, too! ;)

Most of these were pretty good tunes. I don't remember hearing the Cocker version of 'The Letter' though.

One of my favorite bands from the list are the Canadians Guess Who. I always liked their music and followed right along with Randy Bachman when he took most of their style on over to Bachman Turner Overdrive. These are 2 bands that I believe deserve the Hoffman touch!

Takin' Care Of Business! :D

My first choice would be for the first BTO self titled album with Blue Collar on it. A truly under rated great piece of music.

I like and have everything on the list! I was starting the third grade and was seven years old. What a fun time in my life.

Anti-war music was still strong on the airwaves, the Kent state fiasco was a reality, but being seven, it was all oblivious to me.

I'd love for Steve to re-do the first Guess Who album Wheatfield Soul. It's one of those records that I bought for the big hit and grew to love for all the other cuts. The reissue CD's have been pretty poor so far. This one has not been part of the remastered series so I suspect the original masters may have been lost or damaged.
