Cheap Asian DVD Box Sets - OK or Stay Away?

My wife has found a private seller on Amazon.Com selling the 1st Season of Star Trek TOS for an incredible price, but it's from Asia. Does anyone here have any experience with the Asian versions of DVD box sets? Are they good quality? Are they boots?

They're probably pirated copies. If the price sounds too good to be true, stay away!
