i cant wait, after buying the first season and having just finished it in time to start the second series up. the cool thing about bringing tv shows to dvd is that for someone like me who was too young to get into the series when it originally aired (born 1971) i now find i love it. i'm fired up!

Oh man, this time of year is EXPENSIVE!! Can't wait for next Tuesday........"SACD Day"!
In the mean time, I suppose I gotta get this one, although I am not to thrilled with the funky boxes they come in.............

i actually thought they were kind of cool. i guess if you're obsessed with storage issues they might be sort of a pain in the rump.

Went to my local BB at about 2pm, and they had NONE! They were either sold out (hard to believe), or they did not get any...........................?

I went to my local BB, and I couldn't find them either. So - I asked where they were, since they were advertised. They brought me to where they had two on the floor in the most unlikely place. Neither had the advertised bonus disc. They decide to check in the back for me. 2 minutes later out they come with a box full of the darn things - most with bonus discs. They told me they put the wrong ones out first, and should have put out the box full of the sets with bonus discs. They then proceeded to put them in a featured spot on the floor.
I guess the moral of the story is... "ask and you shall receive".

the cost of that bonus DVD is quite high at BestBuy. $99 compared to paying $84.99 at Costco. $14 dollars for a bonus worth one viewing.

My Costco was actually selling the set for $80.99, so that was nice!:)

You are quite right, even more right since it was less expensive than you thought, but I am not a Costco member. So for me the $99 with the bonus was a better deal than buying from Amazon.com (where I had my original order placed and later canceled) for a little over $90 w/o the bonus disc.
I reasoned that if the box set was defective in anyway I could easily return it to BB and get another. And I am a sucker for bonus discs, even if it may be a one time listen or watch. :agree:

got mine today, first episode will be spinning about 10:30 p.m. tonight!
so the bonus disc is a BB exclusive? Looks like it is a part of the regular package... Or is there a second bonus disc that is a BB exclusive????
What is the bonus disc that you are talking about titled???

The bonus disc is a BestBuy exclusive (from what I understand) and it is packed in the regular package (in a plain white sleeve) - although it is only in a limited number of the boxes BestBuy received. There is only the one bonus disc, and not having the package in front of me at work, I believe it is something called "Star Trek Memories" - where cast members from all the Star Trek series reminisce on their favorite original Star Trek episodes.

Got mine yesterday. Checked out Patterns of Force to see if the knock on the door (missing from the 2-fer) was restored.....
Yes, it was! Worth the upgrade.
