If any of you live in the area of Union County, New Jersey...or care to take the ride...they have been having a 'movie palace' experience program that you may be interested in. I went for the first time last night and saw "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein". Yeah, I've seen it hundreds of times on the TV since I was a kid but NEVER on the big screen. What a blast it was. Sure, you know all the lines....Chaney: "Soon the moon will be full and I'll turn into a wolf." Costello: "You and 20 million other guys"...but they are still funny and even funnier with a crowd. They had a guy playing a pipe organ, they had the 'Let's go out to the lobby' refreshment ad, a very old 'look for the nearest fire exit' ad, and a Three Stooges short. All for $5. $1 popcorn too, in the old style boxes!
The beauty of a program like this is that you get to see films you never had a chance to see on the big screen.
