Interesting features on Spidey 2 DVD

Looks like Raimi and company are going the "Lord of the Rings" route for this "Spidey 2.5" DVD. Sounds neat...especially if they manage to get it on the Superbit format!

Much different if you ask me. This is just added special effects at Sony's request to sell more discs - nothing that advances the story or enriches characters, etc.

Lord of the Rings was much different, the director filmed more scenes and wanted them included at some point. They clearly advance the story (or slow it down depending on your opinion) - very different than created new fx shots at the studio's request.

Well, at least they are honest about it, stating that it's because they want to make more money. To be honest, I'll be getting this. Those fight scenes are some of the best action ever filmed!! If they're going to this much trouble to extend them, count me in!!!
