Sundazed Records will be releasing the mono mix of Surrealistic Pillow on 180 gram vinyl.
I spoke with Bob Irwin at Home Entertainment 2002 and he told me that they used the original full-track master tape. He also told me that RCA does in fact have the multitrack session tapes for Surrealistic Pillow. Both of these statements contradict what you and others around here have said. It had been my understanding that the multis were long gone, and that the only mono tape RCA had was some umpteenth generation eq'd copy.
