I tried this over the weekend to varied results, burning a disc of mostly instrumental tracks and dubbing them over the audio to home videos (family videos from years past). Anyone here done this and have suggestions? What I found is it's best to try and find a song that fits particular scenes and when the subject changes, change the song. I found that the right song over the right video segment can really bring out emotions in you, just like in a movie so I'm gonna experiment with this some more. For instance, let's say you're watching a home video of 20 years ago and you see you and your wife younger, happier, and smiling and maybe things aren't so smooth in the present day - this scene with some mellow music can bring forth some degree of sadness (not to bum anyone out - just using that as an example).
