So, what's your favorite DCC Creedence remaster?

Well, all I've got is Cosmo's Factory. Certainly my favorite CCR album. One of these years I guess I'll have to find some of the other DCC copies.
One thing to note - my original "Full Radial Sound" LP is quite a bit brighter than the DCC CD. Not in a bad way, I don't think, although it isn't in very good shape.

Hey Luke!
I have to say, I'm hugely excited about the potential Creedence vinyl reissues. I missed out on the DCC vinyl (actually, I just looked at the discog and noticed that there's only one Creedence DCC vinyl listed - is that correct Steve?).

Man, I'd love to see what Steve could do with CCR's first album. That would be a revelation !

Well, I'll add it to our "want list".
Thanks for the tip...

Add me to the list for the first CCR Lp. I think it's been kind of ignored over the years. I guess it does suffer in comparison to the four that followed but I prefer it to Pendulum.

I'm the one that voted for Willie And The Poor Boys...
Can I vote twice to even up the score?
I love that album!

Hey Steve, what about the early, Pre Creedence stuff on cd/vinyl??? I don't wanna buy that CCR boxed set to get the stuff I crave - I have the Willy K2 remaster and I don't need the bright, juiced up sonics. I'd kill for the Blue Velvets/Golliwogs/whatever other aliases they had stuff done properly!

I actually tried to do that about 5 years ago, using many of them as proposed bonus tracks that would have gone after the first Creedence album, but was swiftly shot down. One of the reasons DCC never DID the first Creedence album.
I tried, though!
Hey!
How come nobody doesn't like "Willie And The Poor Boys" any more?

Gee, maybe people that like Willie and the Poor Boys aren't the voting type. :(
Ok, ok, I was just down on the corner and just got here, OK? :D One more vote for Willie!
Although with the CCR catalogue, I am reminded about Grandma's response when we asked her who was her favorite grandchild. She said "This finger hurts, and This finger hurts and THIS finger hurts... get it? They are ALL great! :D

Hey Steve,
"Poorboys' is the only CCR I have on Dcc disc. Trust me I'll buy 'em all.

Heck I can't decide. Probably Bayou Country, but I don't vote--it's not an election year. :D
Put them out on SACD and I'll buy 'em all.
When you get right down to it, there really is no "bad' CCR album. Why must you make us choose?!
;)
Just make them all readily available and have at it!

None of the above. I vote for "Chronicle Volume One"!

Ah, interesting.
Would anyone other than the puppet guy like to see Chronicles on LP and SACD?
I'd buy Chronicles if it was the only DCC / S&P SACD or LP out there. I'd rather buy Willie, Cosmos, etc.... I just have a thing against GH compilations. They always leave something out that I love....

Steve, sign me up as the first customer for the SACD of Chronicles - CCR is the great American singles band iffen you ax me, and since I'm space age like that zany Thunderbirds pic of a few posts back (just got a Sony DVD/SACD player and it's a crackerjack) I need some good sounding stuff to feed it! That Fantasy gold cd of Chronicles is ok, but things don't shimmer on it like the DCC ones do. Could I be bad and beg for the whole CCR catalog on SACD, puhleez????

Well, another vote for Willy. Cosmo's is great, but (no flames please) it seems such an obvious choice. Loaded with singles - and a Motown cover that may as well been a single (with all the radio play it received).
Willy starts off with a single - zooms at 100 mph into one of the "lesser heard" rockers in their cannon. It never let's up. It's bluesy, funky, country tinged, with R & B instrumentals that evoke Booker T and a couple of cover songs from left field (Cotton Fields?) that shouldn't work, but are essential. Top it all off with what might be the best B side ever (or was Fortunate Son a double A side?), and the mournful Effigy - and you have what might be their best, most cohesive album.
Cosmo's has the hits - but Willie has the juice.

I voted for "Willy" as well.
I just listened to my DCC LP of this last night, and -- not even mentioning the wonderful sonics (excellent job on this!!) -- I REALLY enjoyed it. It had been a while since I put it on, and I forgot just how good it was.
I'd be VERY excited to get a high-quality LP of "Green River," too ... my 2nd fave.
I would buy a Chronicles remastered by Steve. Just think of it as one of the other spectacular greatest hits albums from DCC like Roy Orbision, Elvis, or the Everly Brothers.
My other reason is that by themselves CCR albums can be a bit weak as a whole song-wise, I don't think I could just choose one or two. And they are VERY short time-wise.

I love Willie on DCC vinyl. I really do. But for the "one", I'd have to choose Cosmos Factory. That was a position that Creedence was really in their prime; where everything sounded tight and nautural.
Tom once said, they rarely went past 2-3 takes on anything, or they'd just move on to other songs.
But Cosmos Factory is one of those "Best Records Of All Time" on my list, possibly around #8 or #11 for me.

Absolutely! This would be a KILLER SACD. I suspect every audiophile out there would buy it, and might be a good sell-through to the general consumer as well.
BTW... it'd be wonderful if you could sneak Born On The Bayou (which is on Chronicles 2) on it as well. :D

Jeff,
Fantasy never lets us sneak anything. They watch their licensees like a hawk!
Steve,
Any hope at all of completing the CCR catalogue as it would be preferable to a Chronicles release.
I found it really hard to vote for just one CCR album that DCC has done but leaned towards Green River ever so slightly. They are all GREAT though.
