Does anyone have a dog that goes crazy when they hear the "woo-woo's" on "Sympathy for the Devil" by the Stones? Just curious, because my dog starts barking his head off when Keith and the rest come in on that song.

Well, my dog Scruffy goes crazy when that screechy guitar solo begins.

Does that count?

Matt,

My girlfriend has flashbacks. Does that count?

Bob ;)

Matt: That would make me very nervous. You may want to consult an exorcist. Whatever you do, never let your dog watch an old made-for-TV movie titled Devil Dog: The Hound from Hell, it may give him ideas.

With the LP version, my dog barks along to the song. Using the CD, he just lies on the floor and whimpers :)

Hey Steve,

What about your other two dogs? Tatters and the little mini greyhound, "Saucer", or "Saucy", that we saw in that cute picture you posted?

What do they do when you play Beggers' Banquet?

Sauci and Tatters run whenever I play "Begger's Banquet".

Too low-fi for them!

Get a cat. Problem solved. :)

You'd just have a few problems with speaker grill cloths, battered tone arms, tiny claw-like pin holes in the speaker surrounds.... The solution to these things? Get a dog. :p

Thanks for all the replies

I think the "woo-woo"-ing makes him think there are people outside or something (he barks at the speakers, but if I keep the disc running, he'll run to the windows and look around).

It always amuses me when I put in something and it gets a reaction out of him. Dog barking always does (Pet Sounds for one). If it's high note on a guitar, sometimes he'll turn to the speaker and tilt his head, like he's confused or something.

I think your dog has a crush on Anita. Keef did! (She WOO-WOOS in the song.)

Ah heh hem! I don't agree at all!

I've had my cat for 11 years now, and not only doesn't he claw on the furniture (speaker grills included), or sleep on it either (Leather couch and chair), if he's lying on the floor near the system, and anyone but me tries to touch the system, he attacks. He's always been very trainable and smarter than most dogs I know, and oh yeah, he's 17lbs. and not obese.;)

No, but my dog and cat both leave the area when I'm playing the mono Sgt Pepper and it reaches the high-pitched sound right before the crazy chatter at the end of 'A Day In The Life'.

Let's see!

Devil is the opposite of GOD!
and...
God spelled backwards is DOG!
and...
Cat is chased by a DOG!

What does all this mean?!

It means, we need to think of something else for a new thread! :D

How about: Songs with hyphens in the title and the significance of these songs! ex: In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida
