Looks like Quentin Tarantino has a blog:
http://qtdiary.blogspot.com/
It's apparently legit. This should be interesting... his next project is called Inglorious Bastards, and set during WWII. I don't know if this is his "war movie," but it sure sounds like it.
Then I saw this:
I just finished recording commentary for KILL BILL: VOLUMES 1 & 2 Special Edition (November/December '04), shh, it's a secret.
Well, looks like I'll buy these movies twice.

Wasn't that kind of obvious? Maybe, maybe not. I did not purchase either of the stand-alone DVDs. Had a hunch there would a special edition version coming out at some point.

Chris,
Yes it was obvious. In the KB2 thread (I believe), I decided to bite the bullet and just buy the current DVDs because I just wanted to see them again! And in a way, I like them as two movies.
Now I've had a taste of these DVDs, I want to see the SE edition! I think the commentary will be pretty fun.
That is nice to read... I guess that is really him behind the blog, or else Miramax and/or Tarantino himself would have refuted the whole thing.

Wait a second...I thought that QT was dead set against doing commentaries. I'm not so sure about this.

Read the blog entries... he explains why he agreed to it.

No commentaries for RD, PF or JB, but yes for KB? I don't get it.

He did a commentary for True Romance IIRC.

Roger Avary in the blog at his own site (
http://www.avary.com/rogeravary/journal/journal.php) says QT isn't responsible for the blog in question. Here's a quote edited for content and formatted to fit your screen:
"It's Bogus. A lot of people have been emailing me about this alleged Quentin Tarantino Blog, which is obvious bull{stuff}. It's a fun read, and should be looked at as entertainment, but it's not genuine in any way whatsoever. How can you tell? Well, for example, Quentin would never in a gazillion years use the term "editing suite" and then know or care enough to guide someone to specific P2P client software. He's {less than sharp} when it comes to things like that, and simply doesn't care. Also, does anyone really think that if QT did have a blog that he's host it on Blogspot? And for the record, it's not me either (as some people seem to think). I don't have the time for two blogs! Still, it's kind of a fun read -- satirical in a Rance kind of way."

" This special bootleg version with commentary, docs, etc. will be the ultimate version and will be sold in the Quentin Tarantino Collection (due out in November/December)."
So do we have to buy the QT Collection to get the ultimate version of KB?
Not surprised that it's fake - it doesn't really "sound" like QT except in spots.
This whole "Blog" thing I still haven't gotten. How does anyone know what's real and who's not?

I have trouble believing he would ever do a commentary for KB and not Pulp Fiction.

Oh well... call me a sucker. Well, I can pass the buck and call
Jeff Jarvis (
http://www.buzzmachine.com/archives/2004_08_24.html#007820) a sucker. I've certainly wanted to call Jeff worse. ;)
No sweat, Keith - it's an amusing site if nothing else!

listening to taratino talk in the past it certainly sounds like him to me, although i would not be surprised if some freak could pattern the way he talks to the n'th degree just because they're psycho.
