After reading Tom Port's post's(say that again)about battery power it got me to thinking. My Chevy pickup has a stock stereo that sounds pretty good.I know it's a small room and the speakers are somewhat designed for the space but that clean, regulated power must also help. In the same vein, there was a story on NPR today about solar power.Solar panels feeding batteries and any excess electricity goes back into the grid and the power company pays you. This has been around for a while but its expensive. My state,Illinois is one the leaders in offering rebates on this but other countries support it even heavier. We've got a big electricity problem here and nobody wants to build power plants but we want more power. To me it seems we need more support to bring economy of scale.A big selling point to audiophiles and home theater fans would be the battery powers improved performance.
