Robyn Hitchcock -- a great guitarist overall, but his acoustic playing, on his solo albums, in particular, is stunning. Check out the instrumentals on his albums "I Often Dream of Trains" and "Eye" for a great introduction to Robyn Hitchcock.
Leonard Cohen -- there's no beating what he does on his first few solo albums.
Nick Drake -- 'nuff said.

Oh yeah, if you haven't heard Segovia then do so quickly. "Classical, yes, but I like it too.'

Good one, Bradley! Roy Clark gave quite a bravura performance on acoustic guitar when he appeared as a guest star on an episode of The Odd Couple. Have you ever seen that episode?

I have always wanted to listen to some of Fahey's material but never have had the chance. What's the best album to start in with?
