If that even IS a category. I started to do Classical, but thought it too complicated at the moment ;) I hope I don't botch the guidlines too much. :)

The La's (The La's)

OOPS! This should be in the other topic. I'll Put it there.
I'd throw in "Unplugged" under Nirvana, as well.
As for other 80's and 90's alternative music (that is, music that falls strictly under rock):
The Replacements - "Let It Be," "Tim," "Pleased To Meet Me" (the latter is a little too polished, though; check out some of the earlier, raw versions of those same songs)
Beck - "Odelay"
Husker Du - Zen Arcade, Warehouse
Pixies - "Surfer Rosa"
Meat Puppets II
Minutemen - Double Nickels on the Dime
Moby - Play
Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral
Radiohead - The Bends, OK Computer
REM - Murmur (all of their IRS albums), Automatic For The People
Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream, Mellon Collie & the Infinite Sadness
Stone Roses - self-titled
U2 - Achtung Baby
Wilco - Summerteeth, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
