I haven't seen any posts from Tom for quite a while. I went away for a week a while ago and when I got back, he had stopped posting. I miss his knowledge of vinyl pressings. Does anyone know what happened?

I believe he popped in recently to say he's very very busy right now with other things, such as updating his Web site, so he has less time to hang around here ... but I would guess and hope that he'll be back when things have settled down a bit for him ...
Tom has been very busy. I spoke to him last week and he sounded worn out - I thought he was sick. He told me that he's been working 12 hour days.

MMM,
As a point of reference, I work 60-70 hour weeks and I am sure there are many in this forum who work more hours than I do. I think Tom is just taking a break from the Forum for awhile (personal choice) and is using "work" as the reason.
I look forward to his return.

Work? What's that, Bob?
Tom's a pretty cool guy, huh? :) Steve has interesting friends! Hope he pops in soon!

Gary,
Work is something we do to support our passions, right! I miss Tom's well written posts, regardless of content.

That's all well and fine Bob unless, our work is our passion, like Steve. ;)

Thanks for all the kind remarks. I'm all aglow.
I've been working my butt off on this crazy dccblowout website which will debut this week I hope, so stay tuned.
Websites are the worst kind of computer black hole. I haven't worked less than 12 hours a day for 3 weeks with two people assisting part time and it's still not done, but the light at the end of the tunnel can be seen now...
Best, TP

What was the address, Tom?

dccblowout.com.
Should be up in the next few days...

Tom, will dccblowout be almost stictly vinyl, like Better Records, or will you have the cd gems that alot of us crave?
Can't speak for Tom, of course, but I think the dccblowout site will be mostly cds, like the stuff he's been auctioning off in bulk on Ebay. He's got tons of discs. I've seen his garage! ;)

Yes my garage is very full!
The website will be 90% aluminum DCC CDs for now, but eventually will have tons of vinyl as we find time to put it in. I have two people doing nothing but listing stuff, part time of course, so there will be plenty for everyone! And most of it is real cheap.
Nancy Sinatra anyone?
TP
Tom,
Do you have any copies of The Straycats: Built For Speed or Johnny Winter And...?
If so, please put a copy of each away for me and I'll mail payment today! THX

Did you see my email that I sent yesterday, Tom?

TP,
At this juncture, you may very well have people camping outside your garage door waiting for the "official" start of business....

I hope so, because paying lots of people lots of money to create something that hasn't generated a dime in revenue yet is driving me to the poorhouse. Thank god for credit cards and low interest rates.
And my plan is to give forum members a discount so stay tuned.
