Chicago remasters without the extras

I see that the remasters will be done from the original master tapes from the first time by someone named Jeff Magid. Anybody recognize his name and what he remastered previously so i might be able to tell what the new remasters will sound like?

Steve would be the one to ask. I think (don't quote me) that Steve mentioned this engineer's name along time ago on the old DCC forum as someone who had the right ear to master like himself. Like I said though don't quote me as I maybe totally wrong. Steve?

A somewhat interesting website, but there is nothing in that Jeff Magid interview that I did not know, or anything of real substance that we can use that will help me feel better about the upcoming Chicago CDs. I mean, what is his philosophy on mastering older material?
