I have an old Phillips 212 Electronic Turntable that needs a new drive belt, does anyone know where I might buy one or suggest something I could use as an alternative. Thanks in advance.

You can find people on the net who sell generic sized belts for VCRs, turntables and projects. You need to mesure the size, width and girth of the belt.
Look on Yahoo for people selling VCR belts. A few of them sell belts for anything.
Also, try Jerry's place:

and
http://www.lpgear.com/
This should get you started!

I would start with Needle Doctor. They carry a fairly large assortment of belts.
By the way, how are things in beautiful downtown Gaithersburg? I grew up there.

Thanks for the info guys.
Dave B,
Things are OK in Gaithersburg, a bit cool today, probably about the same as when you lived here except a lot more congested.

Be wary of some of this stuff. The generic
belts today are really falling off, quality
wise. PRB used to be decent stuff, but you
should also check with a repair shop that
has access to more OE sources. My recent
experiences with replacement belts for Dual
TTs turned out badly with the $10 generic--
the thickness of the belt was variable, and
so was the resulting drive motion. I finally
had to use a Thorens OE that was close enough
to correct length, etc. It was more expensive,
but it does the job right!
Just my 2 cents...
