BooBoo's! I almost forgot about them. (I went to college at Cal Poly, haven't been back in a looooong time).

A place to check out in the SF bay area (actually, San Jose) is Big Al's Record Barn. Run by this snarly old guy, who I swear has been an old man for 30 years now, but looks just like he did the first day I met him. Anyways, wall to wall vinyl, 45s, the works. Even a back room with lots of unsorted stuff.

It's on Bascom, near Streetlight Records (actually, almost across the street from it).

Come to think of it, there was another place in SLO... Cheap Thrills? I have only vague memories of hunting there.

Big Al actually moved to the San Jose location only recently. He was originally in Santa Clara on El Camino (a little down the street from Starving Musician (where I bought my first acoustic guitar!)).

My favorite, I think, is Atomic Records if it's the one I'm thinking of. Right street I'm sure, oldtimers disease setting in.
