It's a bit early to post this but I thought it might reappear every few days to remind Brian fans....I believe the show was taped on June 30th. This is from www.brianwilson.com

Brian and Melinda Wilson Interview with Larry King to Air August 2 on CNN
Brian and Melinda Wilson will the sole guests on the Larry King show on CNN for the complete hour-long program that airs on Monday, August 2. Perhaps the most extensive interview of his career, transcripts of the show will also be made available online for those unable to access CNN.

That's too long a wait for an interview that was already taped! The CDs already out! Promote now now now!

Kinda shocking the album hasn't cracked the Top 50. Not good for an artist of Brian's stature.

King is the worst TV interviewer on two legs (IMHO) and embarrasses himself and guests like this in the process(i.e. Johnny Cash and his entire family.)
Brian will be much better served by a more knowledgeable and patient, Charlie Rose or Bob Costas-type.

Update....According to Brian's website, this show will air on Wednesday evening, July 21st.

As Dave used to say...."wake the kids and phone the neighbors!"

This is not good. Didn't SNL do this with Tim Robbins as Brian and Norm McDonald as Larry years ago? Hilarious!

It appears that the July 21st date was a false alarm, and the post has been removed from Brian Wilson's web site. August 2nd is back on as the broadcast date.

That SNL sketch actually pre-dates the Norm MacDonald days, Kevin Nealon played Larry King in that sketch. It aired during the infamous show featuring the Sinead O'Connor incident.

"WACO, TEXAS!! HELLO!! Our guest is Brian Wilson; the book is Wouldn't It Be Nice?; the publisher, Simon & Schuster; the disease, manic-depression. Hello."

ACK!

I'm going to veer off a little from the topic, but I could see a radio ad that goes something like this:

LARRY KING: Hi, I'm Larry King. Do you have PMS? I don't, but if I did, I would use...

That guy will endorse anything!

I'll have to watch the interview to see who's the bigger train wreck. My money's on Larry. :righton:

Thanks Rich! I probably would have set my VCR if not for your post.

I wonder why they taped it, instead of doing it live? I'm thinking Brian's camp probably took the "better safe than sorry" route.

Very cool - is there anyone who can tape this for me PLEASE?!?! I'm shooting nights on my movie and don't have access to CNN - I would GREATLY appreciate it.

Would trade for Ray Romano's autograph to you.

Thanks Jeff! I am glad to do it and having Ray's signature will be very cool! I've been a big fan of his work since the show debuted in 1996.
I've seen every episode (some of them multiple times) and I'm really looking forward to the Ray and Kevin movie that you are shooting now. :righton:

Has the Brian interview been bumped?
According to Larry King's site, tonight's show will focus on the new developments in the Lori/Mark Hacking case.
