Anyone here have recommendations on a turntable manufacturer who makes a turntable with a 'retro-look'? Preferably one that doesn't cost a tone-arm and leg? I'm not sure exactly what I want, but I would like it to have a '50s/'60s vibe.

Tele,
You want my 1956 Garrard 301? I'm not using it anymore:

That's a beauty Steve. I know the Garrards are classics, but I'm not that familiar with them. What kind of arm and cartridge set-up is it using (mono?). And it appears to play 78s also, right? Since I'm going to have to put some equipment up for sale it may be several months away before I'm ready to make a purchase. I'll e-mail you about the asking price. Thanks.

Mr. Funken, :)
It has a Wacky Garrard arm on it and it's wired for stereo. It plays 78's, yes.
I would put a vintage Shure arm on it and have fun. Has a nice "tubelike" sound.
BTW, I found out at CES this year (from a Brit) that Garrard is pronounced with a hard "G". And the accent is on the first syllable. GARard. I've been pronouncing it wrong for 30 years!
Neat, eh?

Isn't this one of the tables that are being modified and then touted as the best in the world?
