Just a short line or two to say you could do a lot worse than to spend an evening seeing this movie. Hope I didn't ruin the ending for you. :)

Anyone else seen it yet?

I've not seen it (but I will!). Here's an interesting article on it from MSN.

I notice that the trailers for this movie avoid Tom Hanks talking while in character.

Apparently a Balkan accent is the death of this movie.

I didn't start very well out of the gate. Beat by "Dodgeball" of all things! :D

Saw 'The Terminal' yesterday afternoon. Very enjoyable film. If you liked Spielberg's 'Catch Me if You Can' I think you will enjoy this film.

It's not the best I've seen lately, but I enjoyed THE TERMINAL very much. As far as I am concerned, that's three in a row for Spielberg -- AI, CATCH ME IF YOU CAN, and THE TERMINAL.

I'm not sure what it is, but Catherine Zeta-Jones has never looked finer.:)

Just slightly. I'm not sure what it is about her character in THE TERMINAL, but the way she plays it makes her even sexier. Her HIGH FIDELITY character runs a close second, but she's too much of a shrew the make her as attractive.

And I cannot believe I left MINORITY REPORT off of my list. That's 4 in a row for Spielberg.

Catherine Zeta-Jones is one of the finest examples of feminine pulchritude and luminosity in movies today.

Naw - she's much skinnier in The Terminal... ;)

Verrrrrrrrrrrrrry enjoyable flick - kinda has the vibe of Being There. There's a lot of laugh out loud moments, and I'm sure another viewing will reveal stuff I missed the first time around.

I think it's her hair style in THE TERMINAL. I agree with your comparison to BEING THERE, though BEING THERE doesn't share some of THE TERMINAL's plot holes. Still, I enjoyed THE TERMINAL very much. I could watch Catherine Zeta-Jones knit a sweater and be happy, though. :) :p :D :goodie:

I saw The Terminal last night. To borrow a cliche, it's the feel-good movie of the summer. Very funny, sweet, breezy comedy. Hanks is quite winning, Zeta-Jones is gorgeous, and Stanley Tucci is very good as the officious twit who runs airport security. I've read that the terminal in the movie is actually a set; if so, it's astounding. Certain elements of the film put me in mind of Moscow on the Hudson, but this is a much better movie.

A couple of quibbles from a seasoned NYer: (1) If anything like this really happened in NY, the guy would be a media sensation in a week, probably with his own talk show, and (2) good luck hailing the very first cab you see on Broadway, on a snowy winter night! :shake:

Hoping this film finds an audience, it was much funnier than the dreadful Dodgeball (which I got tricked into seeing because Ebert & Roeper both gave it thumbs up.)

It's good to see that The Terminal is better than I thought given the rave reviews here! It will have to go on my growing list of movies I need to see.

Saw Harry Potter 3 last night.....not bad....my favorite of the 3 so far.
